Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence: the Methodology of the Updated AHCPR Clinical Practice Guideline for Smoking Cessation

The Public Health Service Document on the Updated AHCPR Clinical Practice Guideline for Smoking Cessation will be published in May 2000. Contractual obligations forbid discussing specifics regarding the project prior to publication. Upon publication of the Update, this Abstract will be amended to discuss the methodology involved in creating the Update.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session,a participant in this session will be able to understand and describe the methodology used to update AHCPR Smoking Cessation Clinical Practice Guideline
