Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence: the Findings on the Efficacy of Pharmacotherapy Interventions from the Updated AHCPR Clinical Practice Guideline for Smoking Cessation

The Public Health Service Document on the Updated AHCPR Clinical Practice Guideline for Smoking Cessation will be published in May 2000. Contractual obligations forbid discussing specifics regarding the project prior to publication. Upon publication of the Update, this Abstract will be amended to discuss the Update findings regarding Pharmacotherapy interventions for the treatment of tobacco dependence.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant in this session will be able to describe the pharmacotherapies found efficacious in the Updated AHCPR Clinical Practice Guideline for Smoking Cessation
