Overview of The Health Care Financing Administration's Research Agenda on Medicare and Medicaid Women's HealthHealth Status, Helpers, and Program Knowledge: Evidence from the 1998 Medicare Care Current Beneficiary Survey

An overview of HCFA's research agenda on women's health will be presented. This research agenda will be placed in the context of the Department of Health & Human Services initiatives for promoting women's health, advancing measurements of quality of care indicators, and reducing disparities in services to women. A special focus will be placed on both gender and racial disparities in access to healthcare.
