National work to end violence against API Women

National work to end violence against api women, continues to be informed and grounded by violence against women work on the local level and consists of coalition building amongst individuals and organizations working to end violence against api women. Presentation and discussion on the progress of the national Asian Institute on Domestic and Sexual Violence will include: 1) strategies for evaluation and feedback of community based initiatives and programmatic efforts to provide and increase safety, support, and resources to api women survivors of violence and for violence against women prevention work in api communities; 2) development of ethics, safety and confidentiality guidelines for research and evaluation on violence against api women. 3) collective examination of data collection instrumentation, methods and needs in collaboration with survivors, advocates, funders, researchers, policy makers, health and justice professionals, and others working to end violence against api women. 4) development of a national network/working group of individuals and researchers to work together on research and policy issues to improve the health, safety and well being of women and other survivors of violence in api communities.
