Evaluation of any educational program presents various issues which must be considered in development of the evaluation protocol. When conducting evaluations of educational programs that occur outside of school-based settings, there are often unforeseen problems that arise. In this presentation, the authors will discuss the types of problems that have arisen during the conduct of evaluations of abstinence-only human sexuality programs in out-of-school settings, and how those problems were overcome.

Learning Objectives: 1. Describe problems associated with conducting evaluations of human sexuality education programs in after-school settings. 2. Suggest solutions in dealing with less than optimal settings for evaluation of educational programs
