Midwifery practices and advocacy: Surving managed care and other challenges

This session will focus on strategeis to promote midwifery in an increasing managed care environment. The panel will present four papers that will contribute to the public Health's understanding of the effects of managed care on the provision of midwifery to low-income women who have lefted community based programs that were designed to meet their needs in favor of hospital based private practices that may not offer midwifery as an option
