Social Justice, Human Rights and Public Health Policy

Presentation will address the ways in which international human rights treaties may be applied to improve health, especially of women, and the implications of the human rights framework for social justice.

Learning Objectives: 1. Relate the idea of social justice to the framework of international human rights 2. identify the principal areas in which the human rights framework can make a positive contribution to improving public health 3. Demonstrate the ways in which international human rights concerns relate to domestic health policy and practice
