This poster session provides a display and interactive discussion regarding a revised, up-to-date, pilot-tested survey that was part of a published study in 1993. The authors have significantly revised the survey in that it contains questions regarding the newer, recently developed nutritional products. Information on how to assess use, level of knowledge about products, and potential hazards are presented. The survey is currently being used in an on-going study to assess supplement use and knowledge amongst various populations, including United States Marines, collegiate athletes, and high school athletes.

Learning Objectives: After this session, participants will be able to: 1. Determine the questions to ask when assessing supplement use and potential abuse. 2. Determine nutrition supplement users' level of knowledge about commonly used nutritional products. 3. Recognize the most common, recently developed nutritional products that have surged in sales and popularity in the last 5 years. 4.Assess some potential risks involved with supplement use
