The Regional Nursing Centers Consortium (RNCC) is a collaborative association of nurse-managed health centers founded by nursing leaders to promote and advocate for nursing centers as a health care model that is positioned to provide neighborhood-based, quality, affordable health care to vulnerable populations. A survey was distributed by the RNCC to nursing centers, locally and nationally, and a literature review was conducted to begin to develop a knowledge base about nursing centers. The data collected (N=24) describes and quantifies the contributions of the nursing center as a cost-effective model of health care delivery that fills the gap in access to health promotion, health protection and preventive services for underserved communities. The data will be used by the RNCC to influence health policy development and legislative change to support funding and sustainbility for nursing centers.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to 1.Identify three critical data elements to describe the current nature of nursing centers. 2.List three underserved populations that benefit from nursing center services. 3.Define three types of services that nursing centers provide to vulnerable populations
