This poster will present data obtained from physically disabled individuals from Ecuador and Peru. The Consumer Concerns Report Method (CCRM) was administered to Peruvians with physical disabilities during July, 1999, and to Ecuadorians with physical disabilities during December, 1999. The CCRM is an agenda-setting tool to help involve consumers in shaping research questions and issues for later problem analysis and intervention. The original survey administered in Peru was slightly modified in order to also obtain data on items that are related only to the Ecuadorian society. A comparison of both groups shows the similarities of consumer needs in these two countries of South America. The poster provides an anlysis of the results of this survey and makes recommendations for further research in this area.

Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will gain information about the needs of consumers in two countries in South America. 2. Participants will be able to recognize and describe and differentiate the needs of consumers in these countries when compared to the United States. 3. Construct and develop interventions
