Public Health Law in the Twenty First Century

This panel will discuss the the use of the law as a tool in advancing the health of the population. Panelists will offer ideas about the current state of the field of public health law, as well as public health law in the future. Among the topics to be considered is the establishment of national centers on public health law and other means to develop the field. The panel will discuss a new book on American public health law entitled: Public Health Law: Duty, Power, Restraint (University of California Press). The book offers a theory and definition of public health law
