Special Panel On Inequalities in Health: Research Issues and Policy Implications

This panel will debate the methodological issues involved in the understanding of the relationship between social inequalities and health. The themes to be debated will include an analysis of the growth of social inequalities in developed capitalist countries; the political, economic and social causes for that growth; and its implications on health. The panel will review the work done in those themes and will also debate the policy consequences of such research. National and international research will be discussed and will be evaluated
