The session presents a variety of clinical research perspectives which reflect innovative approaches to conducting public health research. The types of modalities being evaluated, such as acupuncture, yoga, neuromuscular therapy, and breathing exercises represent a cross-section of CAM therapies and offer a rich synthesis of study design methodologies. | |||
Learning Objectives: Following this session, participants will be able to: 1) Develop a stronger appreciation of CAM research in both its observational and interventional aspects 2) Articulate the role of CAM in the areas of treatment for individuals with Parkinson's disease, asthmatics, people with HIV/AIDS, cystic fibrosis patients, and hypertensives. | |||
