MCH Data for Surveillance and Research II
This session covers a variety of topics in the areas of birth outcomes, child health, maternal health and disparities. Unlike MCH Data for Surveillance and Research poster session I, this session focuses less on health services research findings and more on epidemiological research. The research presented is derived from a variety of data sources and techniques including GIS, linked data sets, small area analysis, and record surveys.
Learning Objectives: 1) Identify a variety of epidemiological techniques including linked data sets, and record surveys used in MCH research. 2) Articulate strengths and weaknesses of these techniques. 3) Discuss recent findings in the areas of birth outcomes, maternal health, child health, and disparities
