Learning Objectives: 1. Identify costs associated with economic evaluation. 2. Understand the meaning of health preference assessment. 3. Evaluate the impact of spina bifida on caregivers. 4. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify the coping strategies that are associated with optimal asthma-related functioning in a sample of urban, ethnic minority children with asthma. 5. Identify which coping strategies may be most beneficial for enhancing specific asthma outcomes in this population. 6. Evaluate whether current standard asthma care guidelines take into consideration sociocultural resources that may help optimize urban children's coping with asthma-related stresses. 7. Describe the requirements for States to implement an effective newborn screening system. 8. Articulate the recommendations of the Newborn Screening Task Force Report. 9. Identify stakeholders within their State who must be involved in the development, operation and oversight of newborn screening programs. 10. Discuss the importance of an informatics system that makes screening and follow-up data information easily available to the end user, while addressing privacy and confidentiality concerns | |||
