Bioterrorism: Implications for Public Health Nursing
Invited guests will provide an overview of bioterrorism and the nation's state of readiness to respond to this growning public health threat. Emphasis will be placed on disease control, infrastructure development and nursing's particular role, responsibilities and challenges.
Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize potential bioterroristic agents, exposure strategies, and disease control and management protocols; 2. Discuss the response readiness of the public health sector as a whole, and public health nursng in particular 3. Recommend critical strategic, operational, and educational plans to build nursing's response capacity.
