Paula Wilborne-Davis, MPH, CHES, AOEC, Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics, 1010 Vermont Avenue, NW, Suite 513, Washington, DC 20005, 202-347-4976, pdavis@aoec.org and M. Nolana Kabwit, BS, School of Public Health, George Washington University, 2300 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.

Children interact with their environments in unique ways as they crawl, run and play. Likewise they can have more environmental exposures that result in potentially greater health problems. Physicians and other healthcare professionals are the primary source for providing diagnosis, treatment and information regarding pediatric environmental health concerns. Therefore increasing the clinical knowledge and skills of health professionals along with medical and nursing students is the major focus of the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units (PEHSU) Program. This presentation will discuss the education enhancement activities conducted by PEHSU staff.
