The Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) population in the United States is very diverse and rapidly growing. Various factors contribute to the on-going health disparities experienced in this community. The presenter will share a model and the national, state, and local strategies AAPCHO, its members, and other community health centers are involved in to address the health needs of their community, including policy/advocacy, legislative, and research efforts.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will gain knowledge of the factors contributing to health disparities in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
• Participants will gain knowledge and increase awareness of community health centers’ capacity to eliminate health disparities amongst populations at risk.
• The presenter will present the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organization’s national strategies for eliminating health disparities in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
