Health planners in all sectors must respond to an increasingly diverse and complex health care system. The utility and effectiveness of traditional planning methods and processes are being challenged. This session would explore the current state of community-based health services planning and propose strategies for making planning more effective by responding to changing social and market conditions.
Principal topics and questions to be explored include:

Learning Objectives: Attendee should gain a better understanding of 1. The value of systematic planning in meeting health care needs efficiently; 2. The evolution of planning in response to changing economic, political and technological environments; and 3.
