In the past decade childhood overweight has increased dramatically. Children who are overweight are at increased risk of being overweight as adults and for chronic diseases as adults. The purpose of this session is to better understand risk factors associated with childhood overweight and to present strategies and interventions that address childhood overweight. | |||
Learning Objectives: 1. Identify risk factors that are associated with childhood overweight; 2. Describe strategies related to healthy eating and physical activity that address childhood overweight. | |||
