Special populations may be described as including those of particular interest due to socioeconomic status, different ability level, gender, age, sexual orientation, or racial, ethnic, cultural or other characteristics. Providing public health interventions among these populations may present special challenges to health educators. This session will examine various populations and the specially tailored interventions designed to address their unique health issues. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify and describe special populations and will be able to explain strategies for intervening in these populations, in accordance with the learning objectives of each individual presentation. | |||
