Jie Hu, PhD, RN, School of Nursing, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, UNCG PO Box 26170, Greensboro, NC 27402, 336-256-1025, jie_hu@uncg.edu

The Fourth World Conference On Women was held 10 years ago in Beijing to advance women's position within global societies. China has been through many economic changes within the past 10 years. However, changes to advance women have not kept up with other societal changes. The status of women socially and politically along with changes in health care for women within the past 10 years will be discussed.
