Community food security and local food policy councils have emerged during the 1990s to promote food security for families and communities, sustainable agricultural, and integrated food systems. Bring farms to cities, promoting local agricultural integrity and securing healthy produce for local areas have been key elements of these movements. This session will highlight promising initiatives from several parts of the US. | |||
