The rapid increase in obesity has lead many communities across the US to create large-scale initiatives that include multiple sectors of the community. Not only are supermarkets, restaurants and schools considered as parnters, but transportation systems, recreational facilities, and neighborhood conditions are integrated in multi-disciplinary approaches to improving health and safety of children and adults. This session will provide concrete and descriptive methods of developing innovative plans and partnerships to improve community health. | |||
