This session will examine recent developments in governmental structures of agencies at the federal, state, and local (regional) level. The ability of governmental public health to meet the major challenges of today's environment requires flexible and innovative organizational structures. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1) Discuss lessons learned through the Futures Initiative at CDC 2) Describe the type and extent of state public health agency restructuring that has occurred in the past few years 3) Describe the factors which led to the development a regional public health Alliance 4) Compare two different experiences in regionalizing public health services. | |||
