Learning Objectives: 1. Identify the relationships between parental health beliefs and childhood immunization status in Hong Kong 2. Identify factors that were most predictive of age-appropriate immunization in Hong Kong children. 3. Identify and explain the major oral health diseases for children, ages 0-6; 4. Discuss key prevention strategies for oral health diseases in children, ages 0-6; 5. Identify common nutritional supplements used by mothers of Haitian and African American children 6. Describe prevalence of supplement use based on maternal and child demographics 7. Describe the relationship between use of supplements and child weight status 8. Evaluate implications of study findings when addressing healthy eating habits among Haitian and African American families Articulate the potential impact on coverage of a single provider visit for incompletely vaccinated children occurring around the second birthday, focused on administering catch-up vaccinations 9. Recognize the value of a such a visit in reducing racial/ethnic and regional disparities in vaccination coverage 10. Articulate the value of the National Immunization Survey in monitoring and estimating vaccination coverage. | |||
