Patient safey has become major issue in health care deliver Dr. Tejal Gandhi is a leading contributor to the field and will be honored and deliver the annual Donabedian lecture. Learning Objectives: 1. Summarize inpatient and outpatient patient safety activities and lessons from Brigham and Women's Hospital 2. Draw on conceptual ideas of Dr. Avedis Donabedian to broaden our understanding and context of patient safety work 3. Discuss recent and current innovation projects, particulalry using information technology and electronic order entry with decison support, to improve patient safety and quality. 4.
