The Brazos Valley Health Partnership is working to improve access to care for the uninsured and underinsured residents of the Brazos Valley. A key goal of the project involves increasing the general knowledge and awareness of community leaders concerning the general problems that individuals encounter when attempting to access care and available solutions to those problems (e.g. transportation, medication assistance). Further, the partnership hopes to increase community leaders support for the project in their respective communities. The evaluation will measure changes in leadership through both quantitative and qualitative tools. An annual community leader survey, participation by leaders in both local and regional partnership meetings, and resources contributed and shared with other partners to the project will illustrate the changes of leadership throughout the three years of the project. This presentation will explain the data sets used to measure leadership changes and present baseline data and time two data collected from the first two years of the evaluation. The data will help shape how the partnership and staff plan for future project years and also provide insight on how to reach key community leaders in the hope of influencing policy changes or development.
