This session will focus on the Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) Network. The session will consist of four panelists presenting EPHT from the perspectives federal, state, local, and academic stakeholders. Each presentation will run between 15 and 18 minutes with a question and answer period at the end of the session. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, the participant(learner) will be able to: 1) Describe the information gap that the National EPHT Network will be designed to fill and necessary steps for implementing EPHT networks at the state and national level; 2) Learn about specific focus areas for environmental and health outcomes population surveillance; 3) Review lessons learned from state and local pilot projects linking health and environmental data; and 4) Demonstrate the opportunity the National EPHT Network presents to bring together the often disparate fields of environmental monitoring, environmental health and chronic disease prevention in order to work towards a coordinated information systems. | |||
