African-American MSM continue to experience disproportionate rates of HIV infection. However, targeting these communities for intervention is challenging. New findings about the context for risk for African-American men will be discussed, as well as strategies for successful risk reduction interventions. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Understand the specific HIV-related sexual behaviors of African-American MSM. 2. Discuss successes and challenges of interventions targeted to African-American MSM. 3. Create evidence-based innovative interventions to address this risk group. | |||
