Blending HIV/AIDS Research and Service Provision
HIV/AIDS research findings have oftentimes been difficult to translate into direct service provision. However, many sites have successfully incorporated research into their HIV/AIDS service strategies. The posters in this session will demonstrate advances in the synthesis of research findings and service provision in multiple settings.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Understand the roles of multiple organizations and community efforts in service provision to HIV-affected communities. 2. Assess best practices for incorporating HIV/AIDS Research into the provision of services. 2. Evaluate the efficacy of various research-based strategies for providing service to HIV-affected individuals and groups.
