Knowledge about the behaviors and intentions behind HIV risk continues to evolve. In order to accurately and efficiently target at-risk groups, practitioners and researchers must keep abreast of innovative strategies and research findings in the field. This session will address unique approaches to prevention and treatment among such disparate settings as the US-Mexico border, school systems, and primary care offices. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Assess the applicability of 3 innovative strategies for implementing HIV education and prevention in diverse settings. 2. Evaluate the usability of emerging approaches for use in community-based settings. 3. Describe the factors to be considered when assessing the feasibility of interventions for particular settings. | |||
