Dietary Risk Factors for the Development of Chronic Disease
The leading causes of death in the US are related to nutrition. The purpose of this session is to higlight recent findings from a variety studies that describe psychosocial and behavioral risk factors for chronic disease. As recommendations for dietary guidance and programs developed, these studies are of critical importance in providing a foundation for health claims related to diet.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to describe risk factors for the development of obesity, heart disease,diabetes and cancer based on new data and studies in the US.
