162257 Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute: A Review of the Curriculum

The goal of the Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute (EPHLI) is to enhance the leadership skills of environmental public health professionals through a one-year competency-based program. Emphasis is placed on the core functions of public health and systems thinking as foundations to achieve public health goals and to develop proactive environmental public health leaders. The program consists of twelve EPHLI onsite training days, four onsite training days on Environmental Health Training in Disaster Response, leadership project development, individual leadership skill assessment and development planning including a 360 degree assessment, individual self- assessment coaching, a mentoring program, and distance action learning activities. EPHLI graduates increase the capacity of their environmental public health programs to provide essential environmental public health services.

1. Describe the curriculum of the one-year leadership training program 2. Understand the expectations of the Institute in order for the Fellows to graduate from the program 3. Understand the components of the Leadership Projects and Individual Development Plans
