180171 Innovative Research Methodologies in Public Health Systems ResearchTuesday, October 28, 2008: 1:30 PM
The University of Kentucky, Center for Public Health Systems Research (PHSR) funded by the Robert Wood Johnson will present innovative research methodologies in Public Health Systems Research. The panelists will include five young investigators / mini-grantees of The Center who have been given funding to engage in research using datasets described in the PHSR subset of the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Health Services Research Resources (HSRR). The young investigators will discuss public health topics such as organization and structure; finance; workforce; and technology, data and methods. These researchers have backgrounds in a variety of disciplines. By applying the unique perspectives inherent in their different disciplines to PHSR, we hope that research can offer innovative solutions to improve the health of the communities. The panel will allow PHS researchers to exchange ideas about new data sources and methods.
