CDC has become increasingly involved in creating communication strategies for Global audiences. Using innovative health communication techniques which have proven successful with the American public, CDC is refining these approaches and tailoring them to better reach diverse Global audiences. This session will introduce attendees to CDC health marketing initiatives, and CDC's ongoing work to adapt these health messages to improve the health of people in the United States and around the world.

Learning Objectives:
Describe the various health marketing strategies CDC uses to reach different audiences, both in the United States and internationally. Evaluate these various strategies and their potential value for diverse Global audiences, showing how CDC in partnership with national governments and other Global partners can help improve the health of people around the world. Identify strengths and barriers for applying CDC’s health marketing initiatives in communicating with Global audiences.
