Current challenges in oral health including oral health disparities and unmet dental needs requires different approaches in delivering dental care and prevention. This Outstanding presentations in this session will discuss various issues and different approaches in dental care delivery and disease prevention.
Session Objectives: Understand the interrelationship of oral and primary health, specifically in an underserved, underinsured population. Describe the history of community water fluoridation laws, legal reforms, and legal challenges; and identify the major legal variables associated with successes or failures to modernize community water fluoridation laws. Understand the impact and dental benefit of Healthy Kids program.
