Podiatric physicians in the United States are involved in humanitarian delivery of foot and ankle care in many different settings throughout the world. The purpose of this session is to describe the various programs noting the care that they deliver, the challanges encountered and the barriers to care. It is important to describe the process to enable other podiatric physicians to understand and become engaged in these efforts.
Session Objectives: 1. Explain challenges in providing humantarian foot and ankle care.
2. Describe a mission activity involving foot and ankle care.
3. Evaluate the difficulties in pediatric foot and ankle care in a mission setting.
