Under this year's APHA conference theme of "Public Health without Borders', the presentations in this session will discuss various aspects of dental and oral health issues of different population groups including disease prevalence, health care system and utilization, and psychosocial factor sucha as perspective from dental providers and caregivers' perception of diseases. Understanding of these various issues of different population groups in different locations will elucidate current status of oral health and future directions to improve oral health of these populations.
Session Objectives: Describe the dental problems experience by Hispanic agrcultural workers and their dental care utilization.
Discuss challenges faced by dentists that serve low-income Latino children.
Identify Latino caregivers'perceptions of cavity causes.
Recognize psychosocial factors that may affect the child's oral health across settings.
