Leading researchers in the field of mental health among multicultural populations will present their work and discuss future research directions.
Session Objectives: Learners will be able to describe innovative methodologies for analyzing teen suicide among Latinas, variation in prevalence rates for serious mental illness among different Hispanic subpopulations, and the ways that culturally responsive efforts to increase Latino communities understanding of depression are successful. Learners will be able to articulate the relationship between migration and mental health.
