This session will present papers that are written by trade union students at the National Labor College. These papers combine the experience and education of students specializing in Occupational Health and Safety
Session Objectives: Upon completion of this session, participants will will be able to:
* List four research projects done by rank-and-file trade unionists to promote safety and health in their unions
* Challenge the new ideas that the student/trade unionists on this panel are testing through their research
* List three innovative methods for health and safety training through unions
* Identify challenges and successes in legally proving that a disease is occupationally-based
