Private sector innovations in global health are changing the way healthcare is delivered in developing countries. The objective of this panel is to demonstrate the private sector innovations currently taking place in global health. The panel seeks to provide various perspectives of these innovations. Illustrative examples will include: · USAID/Philippines PRISM project – perspective from an implementing agency working to motivate and build the capacity of the private sector in the market sell and distribute competitive family planning products and services. · USAID PSP-One – perspective from a bilateral donor working to advance state-of-the-art knowledge and practices in private sector programming. · Global Development Alliances – perspective from public-private alliance · Multinational firms – perspective from a large private sector The outcome of these discussions should provide the audience with a range of best practices in private sector health innovations and further encourage greater private sector involvement in global health delivery.
