3099.0 A Reflection on the Special AJPH Issue: Health Without Borders (a Joint Session between the Editorial Board and Editors of the American Journal of Public Health)

Monday, October 27, 2008: 10:30 AM
Global demographic shifts have caused governments to respond to the health needs of diverse populations, native born or not. Migration and immigration impacts the individual, family, and community and have shifted our perspective regarding synergistic influences of co-occurring sociocultural factors. The American Journal of Public Health (Journal) is one avenue that highlights research and practice in this important area. The Journal’s annual joint session features experienced editors and editorial board members who are able to offer expertise and guidance for publishing such work in a variety of formats.
Session Objectives: Develop an understanding for the concept and meaning of Health without Borders
