This session is devoted to addressing the issue of funding CHWs. Many organizations rely on soft money or unsustainable funding sources. In this session participants will learn about a national study in which five funding stream models were identified. Participants will also learn about sustainable funding models that are new and being developed in states like MN, MA and others.
Session Objectives: 1. Analyze five different fundign streams which currently fund the role of a CHW. 2. Learn from different states about developing funding streams for CHWs that are sustainable. 3. Develop a funding stream model within your organization to employ a CHW.
