How is a career path built? Is Faith Popcorn right – most people will have at least five different careers in their lifetime? Come and hear some strategies that public health professionals have used to build their own career in public health. Panelists with public health experience in academia as well as at the local, state and national level will address strategies to successful career pathways in Public Health.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe tips for developing formal and informal mentor relationships to enhance career growth. 2. List three ways involvement in professional organziations can enhance a public health career. 3. Explore educational opportunities that promote public health career development.
