These sessions will examine recent health care reform efforts in California and discuss the concept of shared responsibility in implementing the second stage of health care reforms in 2009-10. The sessions will also emphasize that a comprehensive health care reform package should include coverage for immigrants as well as other vulnerable populations.

Session Objectives: Description of the elements to be involved in a second stage of a comprehensive health care reform in California. Provide knowledge of approaches under consideration for ensuring that certain vulnerable are included in coverage plans, including immigrant-based populations.
