Since 1999, the School of Public Health, University at Albany, has produced more than 100 broadcasts on a variety of public health topics in the Public Health Live (formerly T2B2) series. Topics have ranged from maternal-child health to chronic disease, from environmental health to health policy. These broadcasts are available free to a diverse public health and healthcare audience both as live programs and as archived broadcasts, either online or more recently via podcasts. The broadcasts have been produced with a budget that has averaged less than $20,000 per broadcast. This presentation will include demonstrations of ways to use the broadcasts or video clips from the broadcasts in a variety of training, education, and health promotion programs. It will also summarize findings about who is watching the broadcasts and will look at lessons learned over the past 10 years.
