Health educators are beginning to incorporate more innovative approaches in their prevention programs. Often times, innovation is marked by incorporation of technology. In this session, participants will learn more about the role of the internet in health promotion resources and health services. Participants will also be provided an example of the utilization of broadcasting in public health settings. Lastly, this session will present examples of using the media in community-wide initiatives.
Session Objectives: • Identify examples of innovative strategies used in health promotion, as well as health services. • Describe effective strategies for community-wide health promotion and education using technology and media resources
