Effect Evaluation on Using Medical Students' social practice to launch health education of VCT

Abstract Objective Using medical students' social practice launch health education of VCT, to enhance the willingness of primary target population to participate in voluntary counseling and testing. Method Extracting 30 preventive medical students, using their social practice to carry out health education to their families, friends or community residents. And, contrast the survey before and after health education by questionnaire. Result As 2026 effective questionnaires reported, the awareness rate of VCT knowledge among residents is 36.7% . After carrying out health education, the awareness rate of VCT promotes to 88.5%, and correct rate of answering the questions about VCT knowledge promotes 50.7% ~ 40.6%. It has statistically significant of differences before and after the intervention on the attitude to people with HIV. Conclusions Using medical students' social practice launch health education of VCT is easy to be accepted, and medical students should be the main force on health education in preventing AIDS.
