Recent developments in health care reform will be presented, and their evidence base discussed. Analysis will start from the point of view that the public's health is the top priority in health reform, and that all reforms must be measured against that metric. The advantages of non-profit national health insurance (single payer) will be discussed.

Learning Objectives:
Describe new developments and the current status of health care reform in Massachusetts and the nation as a whole. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches to health care reform.
